Yes!! I emigrated to the UK from a country that does not subscribe to this nonsense. 20 years later and I still hate 'daylight savings '. I could never articulate why though, so am very glad to have read your post now. Even the name is hubristic. As if people could actually save light. I don't know if our term is any better: British summer time. (Which is a joke if you think about it. A cruel joke too).
